First Time Performing.
Birds sing loud for you,
the whole world’s so proud of you.
So here’s to you, Mama!
Just please don’t say you miss me…
Your soft lies kiss me as I try to make sense of things.
Enticing me to return to you.
But never again will my heart be a mere puppet, wrapped in your strings.
Tears are what fertilize the Earth
Those from the innocent cleanse the hearth
They are the lights left in the dark maw of humanity,
Washing away the stains of insanity.
What a difference a day makes,
Yet they never say how much energy a day takes.
All it takes is one to test how much your will shakes,
It can all fall down as soon as the earth quakes.
I just pray you learn from your mistakes
and don’t hesitate to make a change.
Get up and go out!
Be loud and speak out!
There’s no time like the present to be open and present
to the problems of others.
It’s never too late to uplift your sisters and brothers.

And Just When I Think I’m Done, I Unearth Another Jewel From My Mind’s Mine
Just as winds reverse
relationships inverse and change.
Nothing stays the same.
of the Love and Hate in me.
Life’s lessons forced in me.
But in the big picture, what’s more important
than a call from those who are most important?
The Sun may smile,
The Moon may cry;
Just make sure you know those who claim to be on your side.
Know that even if I’m gone I’ll be in your corner,
forever there to pat you on your shoulder, and
understand why you carry that glock in your holster.
The world’s fucked up!
There’s no way of denying it.
Forever against us;
There’s no use in covertly implying it.
They want us all dead and gone, but keep your head strong and we’ll forever live on.
It’s this damn silence that drives me crazy
and keeps my mind hazy.
A fog that envelops the whole world.
It’s the end of your world
as the lightning and lies are hurled from the mouths of the “so sure” .
Yet I know their hearts are just as sore,
their empty words are simply a mist on a rainy evening.
Don’t let my life loose from this noose
My death televised to the masses
No cameras, no lights, just pain
Mama! How much trauma can I sustain?
Just enough to keep me sane
More than enough to entertain
The masses attempt to make passes past the truth,
but when the truth is in the youth, they disregard and ignore
They place ‘em on the floor and turn on the tube
Cartoons and cereal are what raises the next generation
It’s what commands their veneration
and destroys their ability to concentrate on what deserves their concentration
(Inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s Cartoons and Cereal feat Gunplay)
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
If they get the kid surrounded then hmm…
They’ll see ‘em fight back with tooth and nail.
Keep your ears to the streets, eyes watching them clowns on the beat
They’re spying on your opulence, plotting your downfall.
Don’t ever let ‘em get too close or they’ll frame yah, and have you planning your last call.
They’re corrupt from the foot soldiers to the crown of the general.
Your Honor protecting honor,
but not yours or mine, stifling lights with potential to shine.
(Inspired by DOOM’s Absolutely)
Who knew forever could come and go so quickly?
I can tell you want me to stay,
but I don’t quite know if I have it in me…
Maybe it’s just one of those things.
One of those mysteries of the universe,
that go on mystifying millions… forever.
Soulmates destined to never be together.
Only with each other for the time being,
but the lessons we’ve learned are what’s worth seeing.
This mystery called Love….
It’s worth believing.
124. Part One
She was just a young girl with pen and pad in hand.
No land to call her own, just walking the lonely road;
Her emotions in toe.
She’d been walking for far too long,
writing all that she saw.
Too many sunrises, too many sunsets,
and still no home yet.
Not even a hut, a shack, to sleep or rest.
She had honestly given it her best.
She even believed it’d be a shot in the dark;
To walk so far and find happiness unbarred.
124. Part Two
With a majesty and grace that had never before been seen,
lightning broke through.
Divine inspiration, with implausible implications.
She defied her destiny and built her serenity.
This home she built with her two hands.
The sweat, blood, and tears defeated her fears.
This sanctuary was a place for all, a place to call home.
Many others walking this road alone,
their pens and pads in hand, and emotions in toe,
found this lowly abode and made it their own.
Sharing their stories of the unknown,
Life, Love, and Joy have filled a once deserted land.
A new family has been born, bred from different experiences and different voices.
Yet here they stand together.
A revolving unit of Love.
